Group Fitness: Class Descriptions

All classes are co-ed.

Athletes In Motion

Level: High

This class consists of extreme cardio featuring sports drills, jumping, power lunges, etc.  Upper body strength and abdominal work included.

Boot Camp

Level: Moderate-High

This class is high energized using explosive moves to take your heart rate to another level. Medicine balls, tubes, body bars, and weights are used for body sculpting as well.

Cardio Cycling

Level: Moderate-high

Instructor will take you through hills, valleys, and sprints throughout the hour class with fun energetic music. Difficulty level is adjustable on each bike by each member's own choice of resistance.

Body Sculpting

Level: Moderate

This class is specifically designed to tone and shape the overall physique. Class incorporates free weights, medicine balls, tubes, body bars, and exercise balls.

Fusion

Level: Moderate-High

This class is a combination of cardio and strength training. Instructor will lead you through a variety of drills and promises to leave you sweating.

Step/Strength Interval

Level: Moderate

This class is designed to take you through a variety of step combinations along with strengthening and stretching your body.

Turbo Kick

Level: Moderate-High

This class is a fusion of Hip Hop and Kickboxing sure to get your heart rate up.

Cardio Tae Box

Level: Moderate-High

Punch, kick, jumb and jab combos.  Finishing with standing core work.

P.A.C.E. (Power Aerobics Circuit Energy)

Combines cardio (3 min), strength (1 min), plyometrics (30 sec) into one high energy workout alternating these 3 elements.

Vitality

Level: Low

This class is designed for beginners and those who want low-impact exercises that work the entire body.

Zumba

Level: Moderate

This is a latin dance aerobics class. It involves fun music and funky dance inspired moves that leaves you sweating.

Pilates Mat

Level: Moderate

This class uses controlled movements in form of mat exercises or equipment. Pilates does a remarkable job of toning and strengthening your body.

Power Core

Level: All levels welcome

Pilates like class with an emphasis on strength, flexibility, and posture.

Silver Sneakers Muscular Strength & Range of Movement

Level: Low

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. (A group exercise class for older adults designed to increase strength and flexibility.)

Group Power Pump

Level: Moderate-High

This class is an hour of light to intense weight training to music. This class will work every major muscle group in your body through the use of dumbbells. Men and women can both achieve overall strength and cardiovascular fitness at their own level. This class will challenge your body every single time!

Hot Stretch

Level: Moderate

This class is 30-40 min of strength training followed by 30-40 min of meditation in motion using yoga techniques. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Rock Bottom (Legs/Butt)

Lower body sculpt. 30 min of nonstop lower body exercises.

Heart Race Cycle

20 min of intense cycling combining speed, climbing, and jumping.

Upper Body Blast (Awesome Arms)

20 min upper body toning and sculpting with the use of bars, bands, weights, and medicine balls.

Martial Arts Class

Training in the Korean Form of martial art, Tae Kwon Do. This class is designed for all ages and levels of fitness.  Classes consist of learning and practicing the execution of punches, kicks, and blocking techniques, in addition to forms, so that participants can promote through the belt ranks.
